Christian Schimpf is a Data Processing Specialist with the Comparative Study of Electoral Systems (CSES) Secretariat at GESIS Mannheim. He is also a Ph.D. candidate in political science at the University of Mannheim and has a master’s degree in political science from the University of Salzburg. His research interests include comparative electoral behavior, populism, and comparative public opinion. His research has been published in Political Studies, Politics and Governance, and Zeitschrift für Vergleichende Politikwissenschaft. For his research visit at the UdM, he has received a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
