Alexandra Jabbour

PhD student

Alexandra is a PhD student in Political science. She holds a BSc in Political science (honours track) from the Université de Montréal. After a year in the Master program she subsequently transferred to the doctoral program (fast-track to the PhD). In her dissertation she explores the role of local factors on citizens’ assessments of the nation’s economic performance. She is also interested in questions on representation, the political consequences of housing markets and public opinion. Methodologically, she has a keen interest for causal inference, experimental methods in social sciences and smart identification strategies. Alexandra has obtained a doctoral scholarship from the Fonds québécois de recherche – Société et culture (FRQSC).
